Imtiaz Khan was a popular Indian actor. He did his schooling from St. He attended R D National College to complete his graduation. Imtiaz Khan was born in a Pashtun family in Peshawar. His father, Jayant aka Zakaria Khan was a well-known Bollywood actor. His brothers, Amjad Khan and Inayat Khan were actors too. Imtiaz and Krutika had adopted a girl child, Ayesha Khan.

While he was in college, he started acting in theatre plays.

Later, he directed many Bollywood films but most of his films got shelved. Later, he assisted the Bollywood director, Chetan Anand in various films. He had directed and produced a few Gujarati TV serials.
